- Over 20 HomelightPlus Crittall windows and multiple Crittall W20, one arched window
Replacing the windows in a period home can feel like a big decision, the owners reflects. “When you’re in a period home, replacing the original windows can feel a little daunting. But we really wanted something that stayed true to the original feel and design principles while also bringing it into the modern era with a better finish. Plus, we wanted the added benefits of noise reduction and improved thermal properties.”
Crittall offered the perfect solution: windows that echo the style and proportions of traditional steel frames while delivering the benefits of modern engineering, improved thermal efficiency, sound insulation, and security.
The family was drawn to Crittall for its ability to bridge past and present. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were immediately apparent, but what truly stood out was how the windows integrated into the home’s fabric.
A Distinctive Installation
This project stands out as we used a variety of window styles throughout the home. One of the most striking features is a custom arched W20 window, which has become a focal point and conversation piece.
Several HomelightPlus windows were also tailored to suit individual spaces, allowing light to flow freely while complementing the home’s architecture. Each unit was selected to enhance not just aesthetics but also functionality.
A Home Transformed
Since the renovation, the transformation has been remarkable.
This installation is a clear example of how Crittall windows can preserve a building’s heritage while quietly modernising its performance.
With expert support from our team, the owners are now enjoy a home that’s more comfortable, secure, and aligned with their vision.
